Tuckered Out of the Park

Preston Tucker is off to a nice start for the Astros. He picked up his fifth hit in five game Sunday afternoon against the Brewers, his second home run to go with three doubles. He posted a solid isolated power of .194 in his rookie year of 2015, and is following it up with nothing but extra-base hits.

Tucker did show good power in the minors, slugging .503 in his four seasons there. He is not young, playing 2016 as a 25-year-old. He comes to the majors fully formed, just entering his prime. If the power persists, the Astros will get his entire prime before he reaches free agency.

Tucker’s home run was not enough, as the Brewers win 3-2.
