After Yuli Gurriel tripled to start the second inning, Rick Porcello struck out the next two batters. He could not get George Springer, who singles to drive in the run for a 2-1 Astros lead. Springer drove in 85 runs this season, 84 from the lead-off slot. That speaks to the depth of the Astros offense.
Update: The Astros load the base with two out as Porcello continues to struggle.
Update: Carlos Correa strikes out to end the inning. Porcello walked three, hit a batter, and struck out four. He’s keeping Boston in the game, but barely.
