Red Sox Win

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4 Tuesday night to take game one of the 2018 World Series. The table setters shone in the game as the Dodgers 1-2 hitters earned their way on five times, while the the Red Sox duo of Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi reached six times. The Red Sox did a better job of cleaning their plate, as Betts and Benintendi combined to score five runs, while Justin Turner and a pair of one slot hitters scored three times.

I briefly saw Benintendi interviewed after the game about his four hit night, and heard him down play his result, as he referred to a couple of his hits as being lucky. That may have been the case, but you can’t get lucky if the ball is not put in play. Benintendi was one of the few starters who did not strike out Tuesday night, as both teams K’d twelve times.
