The Red Sox break on top as Mookie Betts singles, steals second, and scores on an Andrew Benintendi single to rightfield. Benintendi gets to second on the late throw home. The Red Sox put the bat on the ball against Kershaw and it resulted in a 1-0 lead. Chris Sale struck out two in top of the first, although he did allow a single.
