The Cubs decided not pick up the option of pitching coach Chris Bosio. There is no explanation in the article. I suspect that Bosio might be a better coach for veteran pitchers, but I suspect the Cubs are about to transition to a much younger staff. They may want someone who has shown the ability to help younger pitchers mature.
