The Dodgers try to even the NLCS with the Brewers as they play a 4 PM EDT start in Milwaukee. Hyun-Jin Ryu takes on Wade Miley. Ryu continued his excellent regular season pitching into the post-season as he pitched seven shut-out innings against the Braves, walking none and striking out eight. Miley was on a quicker hook, as he threw 4 2/3 shutout innings against the Rockies in the NLDS.
The Astros and Red Sox open the ALCS at 8 PM EDT with a tremendous pitching match-up. Justin Verlander faces Chris Sale, both worthy Cy Young candidates. Verlander has a long and successful post-season career, 12-6 in 23 appearances with a 3.08 ERA. His slight weakness in these games is his home run rate. Home or road doesn’t matter much to Sale as he posted 2.11 ERAs in both situations this season.
Enjoy!
