Jake Arrieta retires the Indians in order in the fifth on a line out, a strike out, and a long fly out by Roberto Perez. I thought that last one might leave the park. Arrieta has thrown 79 pitches through five innings without allowing a hit. He walked three and struck out six so far. With a 5-0 Cubs lead over the Indians, I don’t think the pitch count will matter as long as he’s throwing a no-hitter.
