Shutout Season

The Indians win game three of the World Series 1-0 over the Cubs. The Indians now lead the series 2-1, as they won both games via the shutout. The Indians shutout Boston once, Toronto twice, and now the Cubs twice. That sets a record for shutouts thrown in the post-season by a team.

On the other side, the Cubs suffered their fourth shutout, and their last four losses were all shutouts. It’s amazing that a team with as good an offense as Chicago’s has been shutout that much.

The last time the Indians were in the World Series, they traded wins with the Marlins, but Cleveland lost game one of that series. If they repeat that pattern, they win this year.
