With two out in the bottom of the fifth inning, Anthony Rizzo lofts a ball into the wind, and it carries out of Wrigley field for a 5-0 Cubs lead over the Dodgers. That is the second home run allowed in the game by Clayton Kershaw, who allowed eight during the regular season. I’m surprised Kershaw is still in the game. This is a must win game for the Dodgers, and the Cubs have scored in four of the five innings Kershaw pitched. He’s giving up extra base hits, which is something Kershaw doesn’t do.
The Cubs lead the Dodgers 5-0 at the end of five innings.
