Loogy for an Old Catcher

The Dodgers picked up a left-handed relief specialist for an old catcher, as Carlos Ruiz goes to the Mariners for Vidal Nuno. Ruiz saw limited duty in 2016, but did a great job getting on base. He will play 2017 as a 37-year-old, but should be a fine backup. The question is who will be the starter? Chris Iannetta is a free agent, leaving the power hitting Mike Zunino against the small sample size greatness of Jesus Sucre.

I like the move by the Dodgers as well. Nuno walks few batters, but does allow a ton of home runs. He is excellent against left-handed batters, so if the Dodgers can limit his exposure to righties, he should do well.
