On to Game Seven

The Astros beat the Yankees 7-1 behind great pitching, great offense, and great defense. Justin Verlander pitched seven shutout innings, walking one and striking out eight. The Astros collected eight hits, half of those for extra bases. Jose Altuve found his stroke again, going two for four with a home run. George Springer made two good catches, the big on off the bat of Todd Frazier. With one out and two on, the Yankees trailing 3-0 in the top of the seventh, Frazier got all of a Justin Verlander pitch and drove it to straight away centerfield. Springer ran back and made a great catch to save two runs. It reminds me of this article on the balls the Astros barrelled that wound up in the glove of Aaron Hicks.

Game seven, winner take all Saturday night, and I can’t wait.
