Musings Marcels 2019

Since it is time to start thinking about your 2019 fantasy team, the Musings Marcels for 2019 are now available. They are based on work by Tom Tango. They are a simple, accurate look at what a player might do the following year.

As a taste, the Marcels show Khris Davis and Giancarlo Stanton tying for the MLB home run lead with 38. Jose Ramirez takes the doubles title with 42. Carlos Sanchez and Mallex Smith tie for the lead in triples with eight. Charlie Blackmon collects the most hits with 168, while Mike Trout nosed out Bryce Harper for the walk title, 97 to 96.

Jose Altuve takes the batting title by a wide margin, .323 to .308 for Mookie Betts, while Daniel Murphy takes the NL title at .308. Mike Trout posts a .434 OBA for that title, with Harper replacement Juan Soto coming in at .396. Joey Votto should be best in the NL with a .414 prediction. Slugging percentage goes to J.D. Martinez with a .590 prediction, Trout right behind at .587. Arenado looks like the best in the NL at .561.

Have fun!
