The Red Sox trailed the Indians 4-2 in the bottom of the eighth. They put men on 1st and 2nd with two out after a David Ortiz walk. Ortiz tried to get the crowd going by waving his arms, and it seems to have worked as Hanley Ramirez singles to cut the Indians lead to 4-3. Once Ortiz reaches second he comes out for a pinch runner. Xander Bogaerts tries to keep the inning alive.
Update: Bogaerts falls behind 1-2. He hits a line drive, but right at the second baseman. The Indians take their 4-3 lead into the ninth, and are three outs away from a trip to the ALCS.
