Update: That move did not work. With Xander Bogaerts on first, Andrew Benintendi homers to give the Red Sox a 3-2 lead. Given that the Red Sox are in the bottom of the fifth with a lead, it’s an official game. That means if rain stops it, they will suspend the game and pick it up tomorrow.
