Dodgers Sweep

The Dodgers defeated the Diamondbacks 3-1 Monday night to complete a sweep of their NLDS. Yu Darvish lasted five inning, and after allowing a home run in the fifth, he was done. It was one of two homers allowed. He walked none and struck out seven. The bullpen came on to allow one hit in four inning while striking out four. All-in-all, the Dodgers pitchers walked none and struck out 11 in the game as they rendered the Arizona offense impotent.

Cody Bellinger and Austin Barnes each hit solo home runs to add to the early 1-0 Dodgers lead. It was an odd series in that the slugfest happened in pitcher friendly Dodger Stadium, and the the low scoring close game came at Chase Field.

Congratulations to the Dodgers! They get a four-day break as they await the winner of the series between the Cubs and the Nationals. The NLCS will open in Los Angeles on Saturday, as the Dodgers own the best record in the league.
