The Astros get the first quality start of the post-season from Justin Verlander and Jose Altuve hits three home runs as the Astros beat the Red Sox 8-2 in game one of the ALDS. It looked like it might be a close game as the game was 2-2 in the fourth, the Red Sox recovering from two first inning homers. Marwin Gonzalez continued his RBI tear in the bottom of the inning to retake the lead, and then two more home runs from Altuve and a 12 hit, seven extra-base hit attack finished the job. The Astros once again look like the dominant team they were through July.
