Giancarlo Stanton tries to reach the 60 home run level as the Marlins host the Braves. Max Fried (which would be a great name for a restaurant) starts for Atlanta. Fried allowed three home runs in 21 2/3 MLB innings this season. Stanton has one of those home runs.
Cody Bellinger tries to become the third rookie and second this season to reach 40 home runs. The Dodgers are in Colorado, so that gives him a decent chance at the feat. Bellinger hit one home run in 26 PA at Coors.
In the same game, Nolan Arenado makes a bid for an RBI title. He trails Stanton 131-130. Seventy six of Arenado’s RBI came at home this season.
