Clayton Kershaw became the second K-Ace to be knocked around on Friday but still have his team come out on top. Kersahw teammates built a 7-1 lead through four innings, so the four solo home runs he allowed wound up moot as the Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 9-5 in game one of their NLDS. Kershaw also walked three and gave up a single, so in terms of two of the three-true outcomes, he was well off his norms.
Yasiel Puig plugged the Dodgers five hole, with a double, triple, and two RBI.
So far, starting pitching in the post-season has either been outstanding or terrible.
