The Cardinals signed Mike Matheny to a three-year contract extension. Since taking over the Cardinals in 2012 the team owns a .569 winning percentage and has never finished under .500. The 86 wins the team accumulated in 2016 was the lowest total of his tenure. Nice to see his success rewarded.
