Hector Olivera agreed to an 82-game suspension after his arrest for assaulting a woman at a hotel outside Washington, D.C.
Olivera is on leave while his court case plays out. The Braves still owe him nearly $30 million for the next four years under the deal he signed with Los Angeles.
It’s interesting in this case, the suspension came down before anything was decided in court. I take that to mean, that unlike the Jose Reyes case, the woman is co-operating with the law.
