Sandy Leon leads off the top of the fifth with a home run, the fifth solo shot of the game. The Indians lead 4-3 in runs, and 3-2 in home runs.
Update: Wow. Trevor Bauer gets the next two outs, but Terry Francona brings in Andrew Miller to finish the inning. Bauer threw just 78 pitches, but will not get the win. It’s good to see Francona more concerned with the win for the team rather than the pitcher, but that must hurt. I also suppose that Francona, due to starter injuries, may want to bring Bauer back on short rest.
Update: Also, kudos to Miller for being willing to pitch any place, any time. He’s not hung up on his role.
