Strength Not Strong Enough

The Blue Jays posted the best ERA in the American League this season, so owning a 2.25 ERA after two games seems like they are doing well. Unfortunately for Toronto, the Indians down a 0.50 ERA, and won the first two games, taking the Saturday contest 2-1. They now lead the ALCS 2-0 and preserved their home field advantage.

The Indians pitchers recorded 25 strikeouts in the first two games, ten of them by Andrew Miller. The Indians did lead the AL in K this season, and they turned it up a notch against the Blue Jays. The strikeouts have not come with power. The Indians hit the two home runs in the series.

The series moves to Skydome on Monday, and Toronto needs to take two of three at home to send the series back to Cleveland.
