Jake Arrieta walked the first two Pirates he faced in Tuesday night’s game. This might be the first time in a while he had an off night. We’ll see if he recovers. The Cubs did not score in the top of the first.
Update: He recovers quickly as he strikes out David Freese on four pitches.
Update: A fielder’s choice puts runners on first and third with two out.
Update: Arrieta gets a comebacker for the third out, and the Pirates don’t score. In addition, the no-hitter is still intact. That may turn out to be the Pirates best opportunity of the night.
