I just wanted to point out that this site predicted the Alex Rodriguez deal on August third:
Since the Yankees are going to pay him anyway, why not retire him as a player and make him a batting coach, or a roving minor league instructor? The Yankees just brought a number of prospects into the system, why not have Alex go to the minors and coach them? It may not be worth tens of millions of dollars, but it’s a good solution in which all sides get some of what they want.
