The Dodgers did not take Yasiel Puig to Colorado:
Puig reportedly left Dodger Stadium angry after he was told he would be traded or sent to the minor leagues. He wasn’t traded by Monday’s non-waiver deadline, which meant he was likely being demoted. The Dodgers decided to leave for their next series without him.
Puig is a half-war player a little over half way through the season. The Dodgers are paying him $5.5 million, which isn’t out of line with Puig’s production. He’s been hitting somewhat better since the All-Star break, so I’m guessing this is more about attitude than production.
