The Random Evil Player program picks Robinson Chirinos for examination. Chirinos catches part-time for the Rangers. He is decently useful offensively, as his .236 BA accounts for very little of his productivity. He walks enough to own a .318 OBP, and with 46% of his hits going for extra bases, his isolated power stands at .208.
Baseball reference rates him as a good defender, also. He is the type of solid back-up that should have a very long career. The fact that he’s not used every day should help with the wear and tear in that regard as well.
