Sanchez’s Strange Start

Gary Sanchez hit three more home runs today, doubling his total for the season. Each was a two-run shot, tripling his RBI total for the season. Sanchez now owns eight hits on the season, two singles to go along with the six home runs. All nine runs he drove in were on his home runs, as the previous three were solo shots.

If Sanchez hits .250 for the season with three quarters of hit hits going for home runs, the Yankees will be very happy. If, however, he becomes too one-dimensional as a hitter, pitchers will find a way to thwart that dimension. He came into the game 0 for 9 with runners on base.

The Yankees pounded the Orioles 15-3 hitting a total of seven home runs in the game.
