Nick Margevicius made the third start of his career, and for the third time allowed just one run. He stretched out to six innings Wednesday afternoon after lasting five in his first two starts, lowering his ERA to 1.69.
The seasonal ages of the Padres rotation range between 23 and 27, with Margevicius one of the 23-year-olds. They’ve had a few bad days so far, but many more good ones. This could be a group that matures together and sticks around for a while.
