The White Sox turned their second triple play of the season Wednesday night, an around the horn 5-4-3 version. Todd Frazier reminds me of Gary Gaetti on that one. Gaetti started two around the horn triple plays against the Red Sox in the same game, and started a large number of them throughout his career. The defender really needs to be thinking about that play to make it work. I suspect most are content to throw across the diamond for a double play, but Frazier saw this play coming and went for it.
The play didn’t help that much as the Astros beat the White Sox 5-3.
