Nothing But Solos

In the battle of the 1993 Expansion, the Rockies lead the Marlins 4-3 in the top of the sixth inning. All seven runs have scored on solo home runs. The most runs scored in a game with all the runs coming on solo home runs I can find is five, and that’s going back to 1957. It happened seven times, the last time on May 4, 2015 in a game between the Angels and the Mariners. Mark Reynolds hit two home runs for Colorado, and Marcell Ozuna hit two for Miami as the multi-home run games keep coming. We’ll see if the solos hold up the rest of the game.
