Going into Wednesday night’s contest against the Orioles, CC Sabathia pitched well enough at the start of games, but lost his ability to get outs in the fourth and fifth innings. He allowed 10 hits in 45 at bats innings one through three with one extra base hit, five walks and nine strikeouts. In innings four and five he allowed 13 hits in 33 at bats, four doubles, a home run, five walks and just five strikeouts. He did give up three hits in those two innings Wednesday night, but a double play and two strikeouts kept the Orioles off the board. Those were three of the four hits allowed. Sabathia went six innings, and the Yankees end their losing streak with a 7-0 win.
