The Cubs continue to leave no prisoners as they manhandle the Pirates again, winning Saturday’s game 8-2. In five games against Pittsburgh this season, there has yet to be a close game. The Cubs outscored their NL Central rival 37-11 as they are now 5-0. Note that the Pirates have a good team; they are 18-12 in games not against the Cubs.
Jake Arrieta had a bad game, as he only went eight innings and allowed two runs to run his record to 7-0.
