For the second day in a row, the Orioles throw a low-hit shutout against the Yankees. Friday night they held New York to two hits. On Saturday the Yankees doubled that total, but still could not score a run as they fall 2-0. Baltimore was not exactly a pitching powerhouse, ranking near the bottom of the AL in runs allowed per game. The Orioles were one of the teams the Yankees had to beat to have a chance at a wild card berth, but losing in this fashion confirms that the recent Yankees success was more a hot streak than real talent.
