Chris Archer gave the Rays an ace-like performance Monday night as he shuts out the Orioles for 6 2/3 innings, striking out 10. According to the broadcast, Archer literally changed things up this evening, using his change up as a strikeout pitch. I suspect teams caught on to his pattern of pitching, and tonight he neutralized their pattern recognizer.
The Rays lead the Orioles 2-0 in the top of the eighth inning.
