Miguel Cabrera suffered through a mini-slump, going two for his last 25 in seven games entering tonight. He broke out of that slump in a big way, hitting an opposite field home run in the first, then adding another homer and a double.
Meanwhile, Jordan Zimmermann gives up his first run of the season in sixth inning. He lasted 24 1/3 innings this season before allowing a run. The Tigers lead the Oakland Athletics 6-1 in the top of the sixth inning.
