Gaslamp Ball reviews the trailer for Pitch a series coming to Fox in 2017 about the first female to pitch in the major leagues. I just hope they use Ali Larter better than they did in Heroes.
The trailer looks like the typical script for a superhero movie, however. Someone unexpected develops a secret power, rises to the top, has a crisis and loses the power, then gets it back and wins the day. If that’s the pilot, what do they do with the rest of the series? Do they explore the inner workings of baseball? Will it be more of a soap opera? Here’s hoping that the struggles of the actual games and players are as interesting as the struggle to be accepted in the sport.
