Please tune in if you can to watch Max Scherzer against the Cubs. He retired the first nine Cubs batters, eight on strikes. Ben Zobrist managed to ground out to second. He’s thrown 40 pitches, 26, for strikes, and his ball is darting to the corners.
When I was very young, I thought a no-hitter occurred with all the batters struck out. The way Scherzer is going, he may come very close to that.
There is no score in the bottom of the third inning between the Cubs and the Nationals.
