Madison Bumgarner injured his pitching shoulder on a dirt bike:
The San Francisco Giants ace sprained the AC joint in his left shoulder and suffered bruised ribs in a dirt bike crash on the team’s off day Thursday, the team announced. He has been placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Bumgarner is out of the hospital, currently resting at the team hotel in Denver, and will be re-evaluated next week regarding a possible return date. Fox Sports reported he is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
It’s tough to lose an ace for that long, although the Dodgers weathered Clayton Kershaw‘s 2016 injury just fine.
