The Twins continued their relentless pursuit of offense once base at a time Wednesday afternoon. On Monday, they collected eight hits and seven walks, seven of the hits going for singles. Today, they collected eight hits and nine walks, six of the hits going for singles. To their credit, the two extra base hits today drove in six runs as they Twins walloped the Royals 9-1. When you put lots of men on base, eventually they come around to score. A bases loaded triple and a three-run homer did the trick.
The Twins are 2-0, and if they can keep up the OBP, they will score a lot of runs this season.
