Ryan Zimmerman homers in the bottom of the second inning to put the Nationals on the board and cut the Marlins lead to 2-1. In the top of the third, there was a good StatCast analysis. Last season, Zimmerman hit a lot of balls hard, at about the same exit velocity of the home run. Last season, his launch angle was lower, so most of those hard hit balls were grounders and outs. Zimmerman tried to change his launch angle, and is now 3 for 5 on the season with the home run. Better launch angles look like they will be a theme for majors this season.
