Cleveland owns a 1/2 game lead over the Tigers as Trevor Bauer takes on Matt Boyd. Both starters are blowing away hitters, Bauer striking out 17 in 14 innings, Boyd 23 in 11 1/3 innings. Bauer walked seven, but allowed just one hit, while Boyd walked four and allowed ten hits.
The Dodgers continue their series with Kenta Maeda facing the Cardinals and Jack Flaherty. The opposition is just 1 for 13 against Maeda with men on base, and the three home runs he allowed were all solo shots. Flaherty allowed a high .372 OBP so far, but opponents are only 1 for 11 against him with runners in scoring position.
