Chad Bettis faces Zack Godley as the Rockies and Diamondbacks finish their series. Since returning form cancer treatment, Bettis walked just five batters in 34 1/3 innings, but allowed eight home runs, and 18 of the 38 hits against him went for extra bases. Godley pitched well against the Rockies, 2-0 in two starts with a 2.77 ERA.
The Royals become the latest team to take a shot at stopping the Indians winning streak. Jake Junis takes on Josh Tomlin. The rookie Junis cut down on his home runs and walks since the All-Star break, going 5-0 with a 3.18 ERA in that time. Tomlin returned from the DL in the middle of the streak, and he allowed three runs in 10 2/3 innings in his starts.
