Zack Granite, a member of the All Flintstones Team, hit his first major league home run Saturday evening in the Twins eight-run eighth inning. It was an unusual first home run. Granite pinch-ran for Joe Mauer early in the inning and scored the tying run. He later batted in the inning, and hit his homer. So his first home run came without a position! I don’t know if that ever happened before, but it must be very unusual.
The Twins lead the Tigers 10-3 in the ninth inning.
