Tampa Bay takes their road show to Chicago as Blake Snell faces the White Sox and Carlos Rodon. Snell picked up where he left off last year, striking out 16 and walking just three in his first 13 innings of work. Rodon is doing even better than Snell, with 15 K and two walks in 11 1/3 innings. Look for lots of whiffs in this game.
Pittsburgh sends Jameson Taillon against the Cubs and Jon Lester, as two games take place in the windy city simultaneously. Taillon pitched well so far in his career at Wrigley Field, 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in three starts. That despite allowing four home runs in 18 innings. Lester allowed three home runs in 12.0 innings, but just four runs. All four scored on the three homers.
Finally, the Yankees travel to Houston as Masahiro Tanaka battles Justin Verlander. Tanaka has yet to walk a batter this season. Opponents are collecting hits, but they have not done much damage as he only allowed three runs. Extra-base hits hurt Verlander this season, as five of the nine hits against him were the long variety.
