Holder Throws

Jonathan Holder makes three bad throws in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Red Sox take a 6-4 lead in over the Yankees. On a come-backer to the mound, Jackie Bradley, on third, starts for the plate, stops heads back to third, immediately heads for home again. Holder throws to third, and the relay home is not in time. Benintendi tries to steal second and Holder has him dead to rights, but can’t disengage from the rubber and throws late. He then hangs a pitch to Steve Pearce and the three-run homer gave the Red Sox the lead.

The Red Sox continue to hit against Holder and now lead 7-4.
