Afternoon Delights

David Price continued his dominance since the All-Star break with eight shutout innings against the Indians. In his six starts in that time, he owns a 1.09 ERA giving up just five earned runs in 41 1/3 innings. He did no walk a batter today, and has walked just seven in his hot streak. More importantly, he allowed just one home run after being hammered for 18 in his first 100 innings. The Red Sox win 7-0.

Meanwhile, Aaron Nola out-pitched Max Scherzer. Nola pitched eight shutout innings as the Phillies salvaged the last game of the series, winning 2-0. Nola has now allowed just 119 hits in 169 innings, only eight of those hits going for home runs.
