Relentless

Mitch Moreland just doubled in three runs to give the Red Sox a 3-0 lead over the Phillies in the top of the third inning. I’ve been trying to quantify the feeling I get watching this Boston team that they are relentless. This might do it. Coming into today, Boston owns a .358 OBP with men on base, second to Atlanta at .359. So when the Red Sox get men on base, they keep coming. The Red Sox slug .490 with men on base, the highest in the majors. (Atlanta is second at .478.) So Boston does not just keep the line moving with men on base, they produce hits that do a lot of damage. It’s a relentless lineup.
