The Twins try to put a mark in the win column as Mat Latos and the White Sox face Ervin Santana. Latos didn’t miss many bats in his first outing, walking one and striking out two in six innings, but he only allowed the Athletics one hit. Santana’s ten K in an eight innings so far hasn’t been enough to put the Twins over the top in his first two starts.
The Orioles travel to Texas as Chris Tillman takes on Cole Hamels. Tillman pitched outstanding ball so far, with two walks and 10 strikeouts in seven innings, striking out five of six batters in his first, rain-shortened outing. Hamels brings a 2.08 ERA into the game as the opposition in 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position against him.
Finally, Robbie Ray and the Diamondbacks try to get a hit off Dodgers rookie Ross Stripling. Ray pitched carefully in his first start, allowing just four hits in 20 at bats, but walking four batters. Stripling left his MLB debut after 7 1/3 no-hit innings. He’s allowed a run, but not a hit.
