Francisco Liriano is throwing a no-hitter against the Royals through five innings. It might already be better than his last no-hitter, in which he walked six and struck out two. He walked three but struck out six so far.
In the other no-hitter, despite, the six walks, Liriano did only face 30 batters, so half of those walks disappeared on base.
The Tigers lead the Royals 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
