Mike Trout moves into the number one spot in the Baseball Musings Starting Batter Rankings. Trout homered on Sunday, while Aaron Judge took an 0 for 3 with a walk and a strikeout. Jed Lowrie, Tommy Pham, and Mookie Betts once again round out the top five, but Asdrubal Cabrera, Jose Altuve, and Jose Ramirez are gaining. Ramirez went two for 33 in his first nine games, 15 for 39 in his last ten.
For those of you who might be seeing this for the first time, the concept is based on the Bill James Pitcher Ratings, which try to determine who is the best pitcher today, based on game scores over both a long and short period of time.
